I was talking to someone on this subject the other day.

He thought that left handers are usually good at maths (he is an actuary and a lot of actuaries are left-handed apparently). If they are not good at maths, then they will be talented musically.

My sister is not good at maths, but did sing in the elite choir when she was at school, so this seems to support his argument.
