Off to NewClientCorp this morning. Apparently they don't want me there until 10am, presumably because they need to wake up, make it into work, grab some coffee and generally get it together.

Quite right too. Having to face some shiny-faced, bright-and-bushy-tailed newbie at 9 a.m. is not acceptable. Especially on a Monday.
