I realised recently that my pillows had become all lumpy and uncomfortable, and that my quilt wasn't warm enough. So, in anticipation of the threatened cold spell, I splashed out on a huge new duvet and a new set of pillows, which proved to be so comfortable that I spent most of the day lying in bed, listening to Radio 4 and reading

It's been ever so restful... had to get up in the end to go to the shop and get some coffee.

Now for a sandwich, methinks... cold roast beef from yesterday...
