I rather like the fact that, when you copy a result from the Mac's Calculator and paste it into a text field, it automatically puts the commas in for you - assuming your locale is one where commas are appropriate, of course
As opposed to the one in Windows ME which gives this:

    87178291200

    despite showing the commas.

I suppose I should finish this work off so I can go to the pub... I think I'm on the home straight now, but odd things keep turning up to confuse the issue

Still, using ClientCorp's in-house version of this framework, drawing related (not relational) data from (at least) three different multi-terabyte databases in real time with a few lines of code has never been so easy

That's the level of quality workmanship we've come to expect from the denizens of Redmond...

Hmm. This sounds like an opening entry to a Weakest Claim to Fame Competition.

I went out with the girl whose dad was the last winner on The Golden Shot.

            Good news, chaps and chapesses.

Mr Kipling's Mince Pies are much better than last year's.

Last year the pastry was thin, pale and tasteless. Their construction was an amazing feat of pastry engineering ... for they were almost empty. Last year's filling was an entire jar of mincemeat, spread out over the entire season's production run.

This year's pies appear to have been outsourced. There has been a significant improvment. Sadly, not to Lidl's or some other quality retailer's standard, but better than ground glass and swarf.

I used to work in a pub with the lead singer of Cornershop.

Probably not weak enough, given that they had a number one in the days when you actually had to sell records...

                According to Wiki.

He may of course be someone completely different.
He probably put that there himself so he can impress the ladies.

"Yeah, I'm on Wikipedia me... look, it says I'm a Baron, so it must be true..."

I still think my favourite Wikipedia extract is the one describing a friend of mine's personal and professional life undergoing utter collapse leading to years of misery and failure, after which some git has added a "citation needed" link

The Missus has just told me that when she was 6, the Sugar Puffs Honey Monster patted her on the head.

                  She cried.

He had patted too hard and hurt her.

                      Talking of Wikipedia,

they still haven't got it right about Bob Holness playing sax on Baker Street. Appalling.

                      'Cos he did, you know.
