I thought I was going to hear about the new contract today - the chap responsible for getting NewClientCorp to sort it out IMed me this morning to get my non-ClientCorp email address.

No word yet... and we all know HR people go home at about 16:30.

If they don't hurry up I'll get another week off in the New Year

For the first 15 years of my working life, I never even had a view OF a window, let alone OUT OF a window. Always in the middle of buildings, or in buildings with no windows.

I've worked in a lot of places where you can't see a window.

I'm not sure whether it bothers me or not... I like being able to see outside, but I'm not sure I actually notice it when I can't

I hated it in the winter when working in Central London. I would not see daylight at all except on Saturday and Sunday.

Removal men are wandering about the office sticking stuff in big plastic crates.

I wonder if I'll come in tomorrow and not be able to work out where to go... I think there's five possible floors...

Hopefully they'll just leave me here until Friday

              They're back... more packing

I hope they don't pack me up and put me in the basement
