In other news, my dad was rushed to hospital this morning with suspected sepsis

Latest news is that it may not be actual sepsis; his temperature is back to something near normal and his blood pressure back up nearer where it should be, and he's generally feeling better. But it looks like he'll be stuck in there for the long weekend

Sainsbury's delivery finally done and dealt with

I got a text at 21:03 apologising and saying they'd be here at 21:05, which seemed optimistic. A few minutes later, a Sainsbury's van went by on the other side of the road, missed the turn for the side road, panicked, and carried on. After a while, it came back again the other way - and again missed the side road. Finally, having gone around the block, it pulled up having come from the other end of the side road.

While I was bagging the stuff the bloke gave what I think was an explanation of the delay. But I didn't have my hearing aids in, and he was stood the requisite distance down the path, so I didn't really catch any of it. But I think he was blaming it on other customers, which is fair enough - we all know the general public are terrible people

So now I can get my dinner sorted out. Not that it came in the delivery, but I didn't want to risk being interrupted while eating and have it go cold.
