OK, so I sat here in shock reading this...

Working on the roof of a house, pointing the stack.
Walked along the crests and one of the crests broke.
slid headfirst down the roof to the edge
managed to get my thumbs in the plastic gutter and stop myself
two of the plastic gutter brackets broke and I was left head down
over the three story drop. waist at the edge of the roof and my arms fully stretched out grasping the wobbling creaking plastic gutter which had ripped away from the fascia.

OMIGOD!

My brother-in-law held my brothers ankles and slid him down the roof so that he could grab mine.
I climbed back up over their bodies and back to the crest.

until I got to this point. And then...

I couldn't get on another roof for weeks

Diver, anybody else would have never got back on a roof ever again.
