Before the scan the consultant suspected that an arthroscopy would solve it - a superman flush is what they call it - clean out the junk in the knee and trim cartilage. I've been told by a friend who has had it done 4x that you notice the improvement within an hour or two of the op. The consultant has said that The Wife (tm) should be fit to go skiing in 4 weeks time.
