One lucky find during Monday's office clean was to a copy of the Profanisaurus, which was due to be heaved into the bin. One of the contractors saved it and we've employed it in making things go just a little quicker this week.

I read lucky find and I thought you had unearthed some vintage porn.
Just similar to the box the old man had in the loft, apart from the fact it wasn't vintage thenThe Chunt of Chunts.Comment

I found one under the floorboards in a house I was doing up. Never did get round to finishing it...Comment

Shopping done
I wanted to get a large paint pad, as one of those on a stick would be ideal for doing the top of the walls in the kitchen. (The brush on a stick works, but is a bit unwieldy.) B&Q had a small number of refills for a Harris brand one, but none of the actual things. Over to Homebase. Again, some refills but no things.
So I ventured into Argos, it being en route, and finally managed to get one.
Coming home, I realised that none of the bins in the side street, onto which the back gate opens, have been emptied. So it seems the reason we now have two weeks' worth of crap piling up out there is that the bin men have found their craft too large to navigate the water company's road works down there. I can't really blame them, as it's a tight squeeze for a car at some points and the road is officially closed-except-for-access; but you would have thought the council's subcontractors would have been aware of this and come up with some way of dealing with the situation
Anyway, I now have jam doughnuts, so to hell with the binsComment

I have 30 minutes to go - my fault for not doing work before I did exercise.

They're quite nice in a moreish short of way.
And the weather has taken a turn to the grey, dark grey, wet and horrid, ready for the weekend.
Must get the cottons in the washing machine soon.Last edited by zeitghost; 17 March 2017, 18:20.Comment
