I put ms#5's suit jacket in the machine. It was his last exam yesterday, so in theory he won't need it again, and it has definitely seen better days. And it stunk. It purported to be dry clean only, but appears to have survived the experience more or less unscathed. Wish I'd done it weeks ago.

I put ms#5's suit jacket in the machine. It was his last exam yesterday, so in theory he won't need it again, and it has definitely seen better days. And it stunk. It purported to be dry clean only, but appears to have survived the experience more or less unscathed. Wish I'd done it weeks ago.

My "business" shirts don't exactly get covered in muck so I wash them on this extra-quick cycle that supposedly gets them done in twenty-five minutes - though that doesn't seem to include water heating time, so more like forty.

But I've found that I need to put them through on a proper cycle instead every four or five weeks, or they start developing a profound mustiness

I only noticed when I got the wine home that it's one I used to buy quite a lot. I thought Sainsbury's must have stopped selling it, but it turns out the winemakers had drastically redesigned the label
