Just found out from the local paper that an old friend of mine died a couple of weeks ago: Leicester pub and club entertainer dies aged 59 | Leicester MercuryComment

Well tis all go on facebook/twatter.
My writerly friend has 'outed' a plagiarist. He's published an anthology of short stories in his own name, and odd works in various online and print journals, all of which are copied. The guy's novel is out today - no idea whether that's an original work or not.

There's been a fair bit of internet detection going on, and the guy has clearly stolen (lots of) work, but it appears to be turning into delight at his downfall, and revelling in every further shame. Makes me a tad uncomfortable. Perhaps I'm too nice.
Edit: turns out the novel is also largely excerpts from other people's work.Last edited by mudskipper; 2 June 2016, 19:57.Comment

Morning denizens
Another grey start, though not as chilly or windy as it has been
My sleep doesn't seem to have suffered too badly from the police helicopter hovering outside shining its searchlight around the neighbourhood at half-past three in the morning, and waking me up with its racketComment
