My writerly friend has 'outed' a plagiarist. He's published an anthology of short stories in his own name, and odd works in various online and print journals, all of which are copied. The guy's novel is out today - no idea whether that's an original work or not.
There's been a fair bit of internet detection going on, and the guy has clearly stolen (lots of) work, but it appears to be turning into delight at his downfall, and revelling in every further shame. Makes me a tad uncomfortable. Perhaps I'm too nice.
Edit: turns out the novel is also largely excerpts from other people's work.
