Sydney Airport...on route to Cape Town, via Singapore.
Sydney - think London prices. Property probably even more expensive in the Eastern 'Burbs (Bondi / Tamarama / Dover Heights / Vaucluse / Watson's Bay). Public Transport - super efficient, clean and airconditioned (London take a leaf out of their book). More rain in the past 10 days than we had in London over the Autumn and Winter, combined - no such thing as "too much rain / too many leaves / too much wind bollocks".
Huge shortage of IT Talent here and they are well paid, from what I have seen, too.
G'day mates - Cape Town beckonsI was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).Comment

If you've got time in Cape Town, head out to Babylonstoren (for a meal and some wine tasting/garden viewing), Backsberg (food & wine) and Glen Carlou (excellent wine tasting, haven't tried the food).
...and if you want new camera gear, Studio 22 (they also deal in second hand)…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

I know Franschoek very well and I stay there for a few days when I'm there. I grew up in SA and spent 38 years living there. No idea what it's like, but a mate of mine's brother co-owns it, and it sounds interesting.Comment
