Glad to hear you've survived this far. I was starting to worry you'd done a janey on us...

Feck feck feckity feck as someone once said.

            Just done my back again.

Putting a litre of milk back in the fridge.

            Ho very hum.

              I'm getting worried.

Back in the day, there were PICs, such as the PIC16F84, which was dumb & simple & understandable once you got used to the execrable assembler and insane bank switching and memory paging.

Then instead of being PIC16FXX they became PIC16FXXX, like the PIC16F628 which is much the same as the PIC16F84 but cheaper and more capable.

Now I see that you can get a PIC16FXXXX, which has 56x as much program memory as the PIC16F84, more data memory, they've fecked around with the paging so it's almost linear, though the bank switching is still there to make stuff more complicated.

And you get this for the princely sum of £1.10 each plus VAT at 1 off.

Happily it's so fecking small that I can't see it.

It's got up to 40 pins though.

              Very very small pins.

              I'm going to bed now.

I hope I've taken enough ibuprofen to get some sleep.

Night all, mind how you go.

Surely they must be reaching the point where the number is too long to print on the package? Caxton's Law, or something…

                Goodnight, hope the back's OK
