Been up ages as the plumber came at 9am. However he has now gone as the replacement shower is also buggered so he will be back tomorrow after work.

So we have now had to move the sunday lunch booking from 3pm to 2pm.

Well I woke up and the clock said 5. Not so bad, I thought, it's really 6 o'clock in yesterday's time. But no, the clock had not changed itself, so it was really 4 o'clock today's time.

Why do we say "o'clock"?

As every other pedant has no doubt posted, it's "4 of the clock".
