One more talk to go. Must admit, I've almost nodded off a couple of times this afternoon

Back at the hotel. Total winnings: one t-shirt, one canvas shopping bag, and three pens
But my word, it should be illegal to just put up slides of text and then repeat what they say. At least stick a funny cat picture in the corner; there's loads of them available onlineComment

Went to bring the car round to the hotel - the spaces outside are free between 18:30 and 8:30, and it saves both money and lugging my bag to the car park in Bloomsbury in the morning.
A bunch of council blokes were scattering "no parking" cones around all the spaces. Turns out all the parking in the area is suspended tomorrow, starting one minute after midnight, due to filming
It'd better be something good, like the new Bond or some suchComment

Just going through the ZeitMater collection of Xmas, birthday & mothers/fathers/valentines day cards.
One stood out yesterday.
Another stood out today.
Card said that "Kate had just had a baby but was suffering from gallstones", from a birthday card in February.
The Xmas card from the same year said that Kate, rather than having gallstones, in fact had pancreatic cancer, diagnosed in April.
Kate was dead by October.
Very sad.
Especially since the author of the card lost her husband (Kate's father) about 40 years ago at a very young age to a stroke.
Ho hum.
On equally depressing notes, got ZeitPater's death registered this afternoon.
Got the arrangements for the funeral arranged.
So it's all go for next Wednesday.
Night all.

Which is the "like but don't actually like, more kind of understand and appreciate, you know what I mean" smiley
Anyway, thatComment
