Just in case
The Powers That Be will hopefully let me off with a PM and a hand-edit (oo-er mrs!) given that I'm specifically trying to help legitimate users cope with the failures of the filter.
ClientCorp Inc has lots of internal research material on naughty-content-filtering, to which I have access over the Intranet. It's the word-stemming that really makes it almost impossible.
There are also some interesting legal implications concerning the use of an automated, as opposed to a human, filtering system; basically, UK case law means that you can't be held liable if you filter manually, but if you automate any aspect of the filtering, then you become liable for absolutely everything.
All down to another piece of knee-jerk legislation by people who don't understand what they're legislating aboutComment
