    It was very good.

Nice use of Richard Boone as a "good" baddie, a bit like Lee Marvin in 7 men from now.

Though Henry Silva almost out Marvined Marvin in his death scene.

The dvd was deep in one of the piles & difficult to extract.

I managed to avoid an avalanche.

I did that during the 6 sigma presentation at AB Automotive.

      It was stunning boring.

        Bugger.

        That was an overambitious meal.

        Rice & chunky beef.

Well the cat enjoyed the chunks.

I couldn't get it down my neck.

        Ho hum.

Back on the scrambled egg tomorrow then.

I haven't had a dump since Monday, which is a bit worrying.

My farmer's are giving me advance warning.

        There may be trouble ahead.

Sausage and onion casserole is simmering in the oven, and the chips are two-thirds of the way there, just needing the final plunge.

I got a bag of Maris Pipers from M&S recently, and found a problem: due to M&S's over-zealous quality control, the spuds were all roughly the same size; and that size was too small for one portion of chips, yet big enough that two spuds made a somewhat excessive amount of chips, even by my standards.

Tonight it finally occurred to me what the solution was: use three spuds, take them through the first two stages of achieving chipdom, then freeze half of them.

That way I get the correct number of chips for two days, for scarcely any more hassle than one lot

I keep meaning to make a load of two-thirds cooked chips and freeze them, but freezing one lot at a time will have to do for now.

Considering the difficulties with the rice & beef, it's just as well I didn't do a baked potato.

                  Frying pan, fire, etc.

You never know, it might turn bearable - I've had the odd gig where it seemed pretty crappy to start with, then picked up as things got going

The ones from Tesco are the ones that M&S reject, so assorted sizes.

                      Mostly large or very large.
