Try a variety called Sona Masauri instead of the basmathi or long grain. They are available in asian stores.

A chat with the shop owner will really help know the diff varieties for the type of curry/stew !
I've always used Tilda Basmati, have been for years.

Unfortunately the Asian stores here, the proprietors have no clue about the ingredients they are selling.

Yes the posh rice, you are surely COTBAC !

Have the Asian stores outsourced their sales to the Polish?

Hmmm, I notice the recipe posts on the blog get more reads than the review ones.

Since your threat last night that you are a bit depressed and that you fancy a visit to that restaurant in London?

Isn't that going to be the case when a large % of your readership are non hamsterjam based? The recipes are more relevant to international visitors.

I'm still struggling with the stats as there's no consistency, the local review got lots of hits and if I want a huge number of hits I just do a bbq one and post it in the BGE FB group.

I posted in a new expat group today and it seems to have upped the hits.

Trying to find more groups to target. I'm currently getting 1000 hits a month which isn't bad for summat I started in November.

Though I do need someone who is a whizz with websites to help tart up the blog and align it with a custom domain.

                    First world problems, nicely summarised!

You live in England presumably. Which is more relevant to you, a recipe utilising products you can get anywhere in the western world or a review of a place you'll probably never visit?

If you live in the states, you can still get the same ingredients and make the recipe but you'll almost definitely never visit the restaurant in Amsterdam.
