And I can't remember how to get shot of it.

    Ho fecking hum.

However, right clicking on the scroll bar does allow one to more or less do stuff.
Sounds like a Microsoft "feature" - maybe it's one of those things that only works on a touchscreen, but for some unexplained reason is also inflicted on those without them?

        Oh great.

Now I've got it into a mode where I can scroll by left click & hold on the bar then use the pad to move the thingie up & down the scroll bar.

        It gets ever odder.

Can I have Win2k back please?

                    Been into town

Even worse, been into the big shopping centre

God, I hate that place. But my MBA now has a new power supply that will presumably start falling to bits in a few years just like the old one.

After the horror, I managed to calm myself down before the walk back to the car by popping into Waterstones and spending twice the value of my Christmas gift card. The entrance is via an escalator by the main portal of the hellhole, so one slips away to the side of the wretched throng, goes through a small entrance, is carried downwards and then steps out into a lovely peaceful place filled with books. It's a wonderful antidote to the horrors of naked consumerism

Not having a Matchbox truck to hand, I used a spare door wedge on the car's filler flap release lever. This slides the catch enough that I was able to pop the flap open and get the tank filled

The spring thingy is still there, but the way they've bent the flap prising it open means there's too much resistance for it to pop open of its own accord. I'll have to have a proper look when I get a chance as it should be fairly easy to fix, but the wedge'll do for the moment.
