Not having much luck on the gig search at all.

Sis just phoned. She crashed mum's wheelchair into a bench whilst looking for a geocache, so they're off to A&E again...

Sounds like her leg is badly cut, and as she's been on warfarin I'm guessing there's a lot of blood. Non urgent this time - think I'm gonna leave her to it on this one.

            It was cloggers.

Thing is the agent in question was some eejit straight out of uni who didn't understand my Cv enough to sell it. I should have been a shoe in because of industry experience. worse thing is I had other agencies contact me who were more clued up after these guys had put me forward.

Onwards and upwards as they say.

What's happening with your mum, are you going ahead with an operation or putting her in a home?

The meeting with the consultant is on Monday - so we should know whether they consider surgery to be an option then.

Check up at GP yesterday and she has fluid on her lungs again, so the furosemide isn't keeping on top of it.

I'd like her to go into a home - just because I think she deserves to be looked after and not worry about meals, laundry etc, as well as making sure she has her tablets, but at the moment she doesn't want to. I'm hoping when sis goes back (next week) and she's on her tod, she comes round to the idea. Although, tbh, if they don't operate (and my feeling is that I don't think they will) I think her life expectancy won't be good, and she's likely to spend much of it in hospital. She's already been back in once for another 5 nights since she was discharged on New Year's day. But maybe they will operate, and maybe she will get a lot better. Should know a lot more after Monday.

Have you considered the home help that's available. They send someone round to cook & prepare meals (read microwave) and they stay for a chat, Your mum gets an amount from gvmt but she can spend it on the services she wants.
