I have that to look forward to during my endless stagger down the hill.

The rain held off for the couple of minutes it took me to walk round to the car park

Then it chucked it down all the way back and to the car hire place. They were able to give me a lift home though

      Toyota's still not sorted

The chap at the garage said he was getting worried that, though Toyota had it on their parts system, the tank had actually gone walkabout; and it's the last one.

I suppose I'll have to pay to have the existing one fixed if it can't be found. I'd throttle the git who drilled it if I could find them

Possible, and I'm sure the chap will hunt one down for me if I ask him to.

I think one problem is that there isn't much call for them: because Toyotas are built well, things like fuel tanks don't need replacing much. That's why none of the companies that make pattern parts have bothered producing one — the cost of the tooling isn't justified by the limited demand.

But yes, with luck it'll be possible to get a used tank. Not sure what the best option is at the moment. I'm still holding on to the hope that the new one will turn up tomorrow

One of the gigs I applied for has now changed its criteria.

Right at the end of the job advert it now says "Investment Banking experience to apply"
