Nip down the local cemetery - it'll be nice and quiet, and the flowers are free.Originally posted by barrydidit View PostTrying to summon the enthusiasm for a trip to the shops for flowers for great grandma and the patch of mud and weeds formerly known as great grandad. Could do with a decent florist to avoid the supermarket. I am anticipating much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Good point, but that's where some of them were going...Originally posted by mudskipper View PostNip down the local cemetery - it'll be nice and quiet, and the flowers are free.
As it happened, the shops weren't too bad and all flowers have been distributed. There now remains just the small matter of getting the puncture fixed which I seem to have picked up on the way.Comment

Very windy today and its now very evident that the windows are shot to tulipe. Not good when you get a draught.
Double glazing costs a small fortune here, and there is no way the bank will let us extend the mortgage to facilitate.
Better start saving.Comment
