Apparently The Life and Loves of a She-Devil is being repeated on BBC4.

I remember it from the first time around. Turns out that was on Wednesday evenings in October 1986.

Never seen it, but Wikipedia suggests it was an extremely loose adaptation, as is the way of these things. I've never read the book either, but I understand from those who have that the BBC version was quite faithful to it.
