    Pimp contacted me about a gig, they quoted a pretty low rate in Euros, which I suspect was actually sterling and they're pulling a fast one, and then said it was for 3 days a week. REALLY? But of course its a year long contract, that's nice, but it's still stupidly low.

    I told them what I was willing to go for rate wise and they'll call me back later. There is a limit as to how low I will go rate wise.

    Hmmm, I doubt I'll hear from them again.

        The solution I came up with when in Italy was a UKASH prepaid card. It can be used as either a credit card or in the cashpoint and converts the money at close to the XE rate when you initially purchase it.

        Probably saved me £50 or so over the week and you can literally add money to the card and instantly spend it..

                I got a metro bank account which charges no fees on european purchases (use to be worldwide...grrr) nor cashpoint withdrawals

                  If you use maestro you don't get charged, dunno if that's just ABN Amro and Rabobank though.
