I don't feel like just watching another few episodes of Oz. A film; but what film?
Glengarry Glenross (sp?) is good.
So is Capricorn One.
Last Night is also very good.
Lola Rennt is so excellent that I prostrate myself before it.
I always watch Lola Rennt in German, with subtitles. I don't know German, but I couldn't bear to watch it dubbed into English. It's in German. That's how it should be. It wouldn't make any sense to watch it dubbed into English; it'd be like watching The Clangers spoken in English, rather than whistling.
(The Clangers actually had written scripts for the full dialogue of every episode. But you don't need them to know what was being said. The BBC even edited out a "bloody" that was done with the slide whistle
)
So, what to watch?
Stella Does Tricks has Kelly McDonald as a teenage sex worker being pimped by James Bolam, aka Terry Collier in The Likely Lads and Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads. (Capitalisation of the word "the" gets complicated when you name those two series side-by-side.) It's good, but very bleak
I think I'll watch Lola Rennt. Brief stop at the DVD menu to switch it to German with English subtitles, and I'll be good to go
Better make myself a butty first though.
