My mother burnt everything - even boiled potatoes and carrots. She had these 'waterless cooking' pans, which you just put a tiny amount of water in, and they'd steam stuff. But you had to make sure they didn't boil dry, which they always did.
    Sounds remarkably similar to ZeitMater.

Insufficient water in pans, got told off for putting "too much water" in saucepans.

Cookerstat on heating ring had two positions: full on red hot and off.

Mind you, I did boil over some raspberries I was cooking the other day.

Mostly coz I forgot about them.

The remnants were quite nice though.

Hell of a job getting the incinerated bits off the cooker though.

That's the way ZeitMater did them.

Lol at the laundry in the background though - I'm sure there must be a better picture of doodab somewhere!

Client B sprung some last minute urgent work on me and I'm on holiday next week.

                  Sql spaghetti for tea here.

I had KFC with the twins - I now will be them briefly next Wed at 7:30am. Then not for 11 days after that.

Finally made it to the kitchen. Bol is now simmering gently.
