He had his 40th a month or so back. I think he appreciated making it.

He seemed to have accepted what was coming, and I think he knew that the good wishes from CUKers, no matter how gauchely expressed, were coming from the heart and genuinely meant.

We'll miss him - I fear the average IQ on CUK has just dropped a few points.
