Well, today was a bit of a bugger

The Corolla failed its MOT because of a long crack that appeared along the bottom of the windscreen a few days ago (when it was icy). I expected that, and the insurance will cover the new windscreen with £75 excess… but the insurance company's chosen windscreen-fixer can't do it before Thursday, and the Orion's not ready yet.

So I had to sort out a hire car, and quite frankly, these new cars are very hard to drive! Nothing clunks properly, it keeps trying to do stuff for me and getting it wrong, and it's all a bit like using Windows ME when you're used to System 7

And all this shenanigans meant that I got so little work done that I can't, in good conscience, invoice ClientCo for today.

On the bright side, I gave up in disgust and went to the pub. I had some good insights into the code as I was walking there, which will help tomorrow. Plus, there was beer when I got there. I should go to the pub more often

Lovely day here in the Cotswolds!
Out walking the dog in shirt sleeves already!
Off to Warwick Castle with the family today, youngest son going in full knight kit and armed to the teeth!

Well braved the newly opened M&S and Den Haag and managed to get muffins, haggis and smoked haddock ( which doesn't exist over here).

The food hall which was surprisingly tiny was chock full of expats clamouring for foods you normally can't get and also full of curious cloggies, one of whom seemed to be giving a lecture on the English class system and where they shop.

                  Eggs benedict for brekkie

Probably cullen skink or kedgeree for tea.

Gonna have another stab at a healthy fry up, ballsed up the mushrooms yesterday as can't seen to do a good way that doesn't involve drowning then in butter
