This one's supposed to be "finished" on Friday; off to test next week and the week after, launch the Monday after that. But they're snowed under with work at the moment, so I think an extension is very likely even if we hit the deadline on this oneOriginally posted by DaveB View Post
:
Reason for an extension.

I was telling HyperD about The Last of Us last night. Zombie apocalypse but with human cordyceps instead of undead.Originally posted by zeitghost View PostThat was the essence of last week's episode of "Grimm".

Does he have planning permission for an extension? Maybe put a small shed on the wall next to the nest box, so he can get away by himself in the evenings.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostTits bringing in a few bits of grass. Looks like he's trying to peck a new hole in the box.Comment

One particular genius has been working on a circuit for months.
And it's still fecked despite it being fixed for him several times.

And this is the highly complex circuit he's trying to reproduce:Originally posted by zeitghost View PostOne particular genius has been working on a circuit for months.

And here's one I just built on a breadboard:

with a little help from the LM339 datasheet to find out where the ground and V+ pins were.
Adding a 1M resistor between pin 2 and pin 5 gives a little bit of positive feedback to make the transition from light to dark happen at a different voltage from the transition from dark to light.
This gives a touch of hysteresis to make the switching snappy & get rid of oscillations at the trigger level.
Simples.
WTF is the problem then?
