Spoke with an electrician last night and we're going to have to get the wiring redone due to the bodge jobs by the previous owner.
Also turns out the prep work done for the kitchen was totally below par, so needless to say they're going to have to sort it out before we pay them. Not sure if I want the fecker who did it back in again.

We didn't use a makelaar and the cheapskates used makelaarsland, so essentially dealt with the place themselves. So we have instigated 'verborgen gebreken'
We've got some compensation for a leakage which was there beforehand but not the full amount, the wiring I'm waiting for the electrician to outline the ''fouten'', which will be sent to the ''klusser'' and hopefully more compensation.
The problem is that the eejits who owned the house think that their DIY is flawless and got insulted when we said it was tulipe.

House viewing went well so filling in lots of forms to take over the tenancy and managed to open up a new bank account so I know my credit history is not completely ****ed anymore!
