Twas working when I left as I spent all Friday afternoon getting it into a working state. The fact panic management were then happy for unqualified devs to work on it for 5 days when no-one who knew the system was around wasn't the best idea I've ever seen.

Wouldn't work with either CFL I tried.

Worked ok with a proper light bulb.

Another mystery unsolved.
