        The sun's shining in my eyes, rather than on the screen.

        The baseball cap reduces the glare enough for it to be comfortable.

        If I opened the blinds, I could see the sea.

          Only if you wear them on your head.

          Which is a bit more off the wall than I'm prepared for.

            I'm rather tempted to go down to town & buy some aluminium foil.

            Sticking that to the window would cure the problem & no mistake.

              I wonder where this morning's programmer chappy is working.

              The obvious place is the dvla.

                Sometimes I think the people at HP who make 'Quality Center' have never actually used it for testing stuff. Of course, if clientco decides to make itself completely dependent on a buggy, overcomplicated tool that makes the most basic things take ages, my only option is to take a long time over things and send big invoices.

                A bit boring though, all this copying and pasting.

                Om.

                  Use of google to search 'hp qc crap' gives;

                  And yet there are useless, brainless cretins like clientco's 'Process Improvement Manager' who spend hundreds of thousands of euros on this tulipe, as well as the millions extra they spend as a result of the devs and testers being delayed in everything they do.

                  Wot's wrong with open source?

                    There is no large invoice to justify the existance of the 'Process Improvement Manager' and his 18 month best practice software analysis phase.
                    merely at clientco for the entertainment
