        I think I'm going to give up on the idea of getting a mortgage through before completion. Anything that happens afterwards is fine (although it then becomes a re-mortgage rather than a mortgage), but there's no point in worrying about it any more.

        If the offer comes through before Monday lunch time, then we'll see what it says. If not, then we'll complete as normal and see if anything comes through while we're on holiday.
