That's quite cool on the inside.

It is indeed. Separate kitchen diner and living areas which is rare where we are, they've also got a serre which we'd get rid of as we'd never use it and it also takes up most of the garden. Also planned to put in a bij-keuken which gives us more storage. The upstairs is small and we'd get rid of that stupid en-suite which takes over half a bedroom and is open plan, but there's a huge terrace area, which we can probably convert into more bedrooms.

Really want the house as I wouldn't need to do much to the kitchen at all ( apart from new appliances of course).

We're looking around too, especially between Deventer/Zutphen and Arnhem, seeing as it makes a big difference on commuting to Brabant. Going to see this at the weekend;

Yours is a bit more countrified than the one we're looking at, but at the moment we really like where we are as it's just outside Leiden and near parks and a recreational lake.

Most Dutch houses have kitchens that are too small and the one we're looking at is no exception. Our current house has a big kitchen but that's because we extended it. There's room to extend the kitchen in the place we're looking at, but as it's a 1930s house we need to know exactly what we can and cannot do within planning permission. I hate small, pokey little kitchens.
