Back from the Red Sea trip. Had an excellent time and missed the bad weather as well from what I gather Although we went from 30+ and sun screen in Sharm El Sheik to 0 and an extra jumper on arrival back home which was a bit of a shock getting off the plane.
Petra and Wadi Rum were both amazing.
Cairo was an experience all on it's own. Culture shock like nowhere else I've ever been and the only place so far where we've had an armed guard with us the whole time.
Pyramids were big and Pyramid shaped. Tourist tat sellers were remarkably persistent despite all the advance warning from the tour guides. Sphinx was impressive, but not as big as I thought it would be.
Off roading and quad biking in the desert was a blast.
Only thing I didn't get to do was go snorkelling in the Red Sea."Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.Comment
