I sense an American theme here.....
Of course I spoil the theme by accompanying it with a Belgian beer.Comment

I had shop bought spinach and ricotta ravioli but made a home made cream, mozzarella, garlic and chilli sauce because I was feeling lazy and tired.
But made a real Vesper Martini thanks to my delivery of Lillet!
Cooking pig's cheeks and garlic mash tomorrow and making Peking Duck pizza!
Here's the ice chilled Martini.
Shaken or stirred?
Do I look like I give a damn...

If I can get the pheasant, the menu will be:
Potted shrimps - (home made) with soda or rye bread
Pheasant with puréed sprouts (baby sprouts with creme fraiche, salt, pepper and butter), beetroot and potato rosti, port and red wine jus
Not sure about dessert yet, might just skip it and go for a cheese board instead.
Now need to see if I can get some decent wine and champagnes in half bottles. They are big into their ports and madeiras over here, so might get a nice verdehlo to go with the cheese.
Xmas tree has been ordered and should arrive this coming week.
