      Feck me.

More "go & RTFM" this morning.

No smoke so far though, which is a plus.

Who'd have thunk (without RTFM which I didn't have & the esteemed customer does) that an "int" would be 8 bits long in the CCS compiler?

Apparently you have to define it as "int16" to make sure you get more than 8 bits & less than 17 bits.

It's been like pulling teeth on this project.

Earlier in the week "we" discovered that the reason an external EEPROM didn't work was because it didn't have any power supply or ground connections.

            Why?

Coz the breadboard has clearly indicated breaks in the rails.

            Ho hum.

See those blue and red lines at the top & the bottom?

            Zeity does.

See the gaps in the pretty blue and red lines at the top & the bottom?

            Zeity does.

Zeity also knows that the gaps mean that the left hand blue & red lines ain't connected to the right hand blue & red lines if you don't put little bits of wire to bridge the gap.

I'll be wiping their arses for 'em next.

              Yes.

It's a disadvantage trying to do anything whatever on a Thursday morning.

              They're all hungover.

              And/or drugged up.

I think our breadboards at college were blue.

I should be myself, but didn't drink much last night.
