How about this for speed of payment - invoice was sent on friday afternoon and the payment is sitting in the company accounts as I type !!

Nice one!

I on the other hand only got paid only got paid for my first month last week. The payment is sitting in my payroll company's bank account until such time as I can sort out a bank account over here.

Fingers crossed I get this stupid social security number this week.

That means Bank account, which means payment, which means being able to buy stuff rather than taking cash out all the time, which means internet access.
