For the avoidance of doubt - you use the vinegar on the pee, not the cat.
Although it still has the desired effect if you do apply it to the cat when you catch them in the act

Did you try the "used" kitty litter trick?

Bag up some litter from their tray, assuming they have one, and bring it with you when you move (minus the messy bits of course.)

Means the tray will still have a familiar smell in the new location which might encourage them to use it rather than the carpet.

I think the funniest one was in the bathroom, when she looked at me, I looked at her, said "Noooooo", and she still pee'ed on the carpet.

      It was soooo blatant.

I think it must have been raining or something.

Oh and vinegar works a treat to stop them going back (the cheap, chip shop stuff is fine)
I managed to get summat called urineoff, seems to work.

The vinegar only causes a certain NorPuss III to go and pee somewhere else.

Used all the same liiter trays from their previous place, so it's all familiar.

One of them just has a habit of spraying when he's stressed.

(despite the fact we have vials of feliway plugged in everywhere).

Aye, but eventually he'll run out of places And your place will smell like Blackpool seafront.
They may calm down a bit during the winter though. Sometimes the beggers forget they've had their nuts chopped off. (sorry lads)

That oxalic acid is nasty stuff.

I'm doing the COSHH form for it now.

Amongst other stuff like cardiac arrest & death.

                  Trivial stuff really.

Though you do have to eat a fair amount of it for that.
