I've got the motor back and it was the glow plug relay - replaced for £80.

They did suggest that the plugs could do with being replaced.

      I'll do that another day

PS. That's the spirit, why do essential maintenance today when you can put it off til 3 AM on a motorway in the middle of nowhere during a thunderstorm

When I said I'll do it - I mean I'll send it in during the festive break.

there are only a couple things I do at 3am
          1. snore
          2. drink

            Afternoon all.

            Cold & sunny out.

            Pavements like glass in places.

Dad got his car stuck at the end of the back lane.

            Ho hum.

            Where's my shovel?

Or should I use a spade?

            Decisions decisions.

The injection relay had an open circuit coil in my Tempra.

Once I'd found the fecking thing (cunningly concealed under a cover in the engine compartment), I took it out & fixed it.

              Only took me 3 days.

It wasn't helped much by it being a 2 litre Tempra, which wasn't covered in the fix it book I had.

Similarly, the 2 litre Marea I had (very briefly) wasn't covered in the Marea fixit book either.

Pissed off by the ice at the end of the lane now.

Since I have to take my folks to see my sister & nephew in Cardiff on Xmas day, I'd better get something sorted, or we're stuck here.

                    feck feck feckity feck.

Where can I get some grit from?

Other than stealing it out of one of those yellow bins.

At least I didn't lose any body parts whilst I fixed it.
