Edit: I believe quite a few older gents have prostate trouble?
Unfortunately, it's the other way round: the fact that all the other tests he's had over the past couple of years didn't show anything, combined with the blood levels of whatever-it-is, suggest that there is something cancerous in there, but it's too deep-seated to be found by those other tests
Still, it's still at a level where more invasive surgery may well be able to fix things, so fingers crossedComment

Due to some fsck-up involving constant waves of large groups of punters turning up, my dinner apparently got left sitting on a shelf somewhere for about fifteen minutes before it was brought to me, meaning that it varied along its length from lukewarm to room temperature.
Of course, this meant that it started to dry out. A trip back to the kitchen microwave warmed it up, but merely accelerated the drying process. All in all, it wasn't at its best
Still, they gave me a free pint and an apology, and I know such things are very uncommon there, so I'll let them off.
One thing I did appreciate: when the gaffer came on (John's son tonight), the staff themselves told him all about it without any word from me. I only found out that he knew when I next went to the bar. It's damn good when the staff feel able to tell the boss that things have gone wrong, so that he can try to put them rightComment
