It would have been slightly sooner if it hadn't been for the incompetence of the Almighty Hotel WiFi Organisation... my x months had come to an end, and I had to brave their payment process.
This is the message I just sent to their "support" form:
When trying to make a payment, including the spaces between the four-digit groups on the card causes a "The card number is non-numeric" error to be returned. Not only is this unnecessary, as the server-side process could easily remove the spaces before validating the number, it is also one of the most badly-written error messages I have ever seen. The fact that the form then clears all previously entered data just adds insult to injury. It's like you don't actually want my money. Fix this mess. I knew better than this when I was first creating web forms in the 90s.
I have no expectations of any good coming of all this
