don't really need a car that big but habits die hard... we had mpv's via the wife's company car slot and when that was reclaimed by the company (cost cutting) the idea of downsizing to something else was veoted by swmbo.Comment

i thought the diesel would be slow and noisy but actually it goes more than enough. i should have got the 1.6 - mpg would have been high 40's. i am told there is no real loss of grunt (not sure i believe that though)Comment

I think the 4 speed automagic geerbox lets it down a bit, and combined with the weight it doesn't have as much poke as you'd think. the big cit has an auto 6 speed. actually, it's a semi-auto. paddle shift with manual, semi and manual options.Comment
