I believe it is the change in the weather which causes it.

Ever since school I've been aware that around Easter +/- a few weeks and around September +/- a few weeks there is a period when everyone is grumpy.
It lasts 2 or 3 days and everyone is in a funny mood. Women put it down to hormones and men to lack of sleep and so on, finding excuses. But what does happen is everyone is bitching at one another and generally feeling restless.
People will talk about a desire to change job or career, say the want a holiday, moan about their family. In some way, it will be a feeling of general dissatisfaction.
And it invariably coincides with the change in the weather.
I reckon I see this at least 3 times out of 4 and have done so for 30 years.
I believe it is the social tribe saying "It is time to move from the summer grounds to the winter grounds" or vice versa. Of course, tied to a job and a mortgage, we have no outlet for this desire to migrate.
So we get grumpy, feel dissatisfied, moan, not sleep, bitch, argue and so on.
That's my theory, whether you want it or not.My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

Guess it's as good an explaination as any. Thanks.
Def got the urge to whinge about everything at the moment
- shrivelling brain due to lack of use
- life
- skip delivery drivers
etc etc.
Hopefully it will all go away soon.+50 Xeno Geek Points

I always feel a quickening of the blood when I first sense autumn coming on. I'd assumed that it was just because I like autumn, but maybe this helps to explain why I like autumn
