One of the neighbours has a bonfire. They have been burning old wood and garden waste. Unpleasant but bearable.
However, that smell has completely disappeared. That's because of the plastic they have thrown on it.

The local mob were facing (and ultimately achieved) relegation from the First Division at the end of the final season before the New World Order was established.
