We had a little visitor last night, in the middle of a downpour.
MrsB went outside for a smoke and was accosted by a small, cute, quite young black and white cat. Think Felix catfood commercials cute.
After a couple of minutes of getting fuss and attention it nipped in through the back door and steadfastly refused to go back out in the rain. It ended up spending the night in our kitchen before buggering off again this morning as I left for w*rk.
Probably just as well we are going on holiday next week, before it gets any ideas about residency status.
Black & white cats are all mad. It's a genetic thing I suspect.
My black & white cat was horrified by rain when she was younger... now she quite happily goes out & sits in it.
It's easier than washing... and kind people wipe the water off you when you come back inside...

Just had a call from MrsB, the cat came back. In fact to be more accurate it was waiting under a bush for her to go outside. Told her to try taking it around the neighbours and see if anyone knows it over the next couple of days.
Failing that we'll see if the local Cat Protection people will take it for a week while we are on holiday and we will see about finding it's a proper home when we get back.
I suspect we may and up with a new addition to the household....
