The independent local paper in Aylesbury did manage to get all the councillors voted out by a determined campaign of exposure of corruption over some months.
Indeed, but there's been a campaign against this for ages now and they haven't paid a blind bit of notice. One of the local rag's hacks is a regular in the place, and I think he'd probably be keen to find something good - at least I'd hope so.

It's been going on for a long time now. It all went quiet for several months, and the poly gave the impression it was backing off on the whole idea; then a couple of days ago somebody leaked the information that the poly and council are planning to wrap things up next week, having made all the arrangements in private
