I met up with an old friend I hadn't seen for over twenty years tonight

I just ran into a chap I hadn't seen in a while

Fate seems to be in "sending along people I haven't seen in ages" mode - tonight, I was accosted on the street by a chap I used to work with in a pub a good few years ago

The change was astonishing - he reckons he's four stone lighter now than he was then. I actually found it hard to identify him as the same chap even once he'd revealed who he was

Still, good luck to him; I'm just glad I haven't added quite as much as four stone since then

He was looking well, and generally full of beans

Oddly enough, I was thinking of him just a few weeks back and wondering how he was doing these days. It was good to catch up with him, if only briefly
