And this is what it's intended to be one square of...

Don't ask me why, I just build the stuff... the artistic/performance side of things is not my problem.

        It does this as well...

I assume it;s only capable of doing what it does after you finished correcting your valued customers errors.

The delphi stuff that I was working on yesterday and the pic Pascal program all come off that site...

I have absolutely no idea what the attraction is, but there you go, that's wot makes horse races I suppose.

Am I missing something or is that really as pointless as it looks?

Also begs the question, why bother with LED's? Just shove some standard light fittings and a few 40w bulbs in there

                Um.

                Something like that.

Since the site is in French, and neither of us are Francophone, it was a bit problematic... I told him to order the wrong chips PCF8574 instead of PCF8574A which added a layer of difficulty... coz the addresses are different.

Instead of recompiling the Pascal source, I chose to reformat the compiler assembler listing file to give me something I could assemble under MPLAB...

Then after a morning's work, it was simplicity itself() to alter the PIC program & get the thing to flash leds.

                  I couldn't possibly comment....

It may look quite good once it's all done & dusted...

You can do pretty patterns of flashing lights as each of those squares is individually controllable.

                    Which matches did you see?
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

LEDs are much lower power & much much faster than light bulbs.

                      Unfortunately, they're also much dimmer.

You could do it with light bulbs but it wouldn't be nearly so interesting....
